In this 2-hour Mosaic Sunflowers workshop, you’ll learn the foundational techniques of mosaic art while creating your own vibrant sunflower-inspired piece. Led by artist and educator Brooke Krolick of The Mindful Naturalist, this hands-on class guides you through the basics of design, color choice, glass and tile cutting, adhesive application, and grouting fundamentals (you’ll leave the piece behind to be finished by Brooke, then pick it up the following week. Mailing is available if you’re not local, usually runs about $10-).
Participants will explore how to translate natural forms, like the bold, radiant structure of sunflowers, into mosaic composition while working at a relaxed, supportive pace. No prior experience is necessary, just a willingness to experiment, play with color and texture, and enjoy the slow, meditative process of making something beautiful by hand with friends new and old.
