Welcome to the newest Wine Bar and Beer Garden in Murhpys, California.
We are Murphys Wine Bar & Beer Garden.
Our story begins 30 plus years ago when we met working for Orchard Supply Hardware. We soon married and quickly had our own hardware store, Boulder Creek Hardware, Santa Cruz County’s oldest hardware store. We ran that store for almost two decades and then sold it to pursue our love of wine. We always have loved wine, we’re both certified sommeliers—and yes, it’s true, Ann Marie can spot a Champagne from across the room. After we sold the hardware store, we opened Capitola Wine Bar really close to the ocean…like sometimes too close. So, after 30 wonderful years in Felton, CA, and running Capitola Wine Bar (cheers to Capitola!), we’ve traded the coastal fog for charming Main Street and a new adventure.
Lots of excitement & preparations went into makeing 472 Main Street special. We dusted, painted, taste-tested, and garden-plotted to make Murphys Wine Bar & Beer Garden the coziest, tastiest, and friendliest spot around. Our opening took a little longer than we hoped (turns out, plumbing and patience go hand in hand!), we hope you’ll see it was worth the wait.
We are offering Wine, Food, and Sparkling Surprises. Our wine list travels the globe—so whether you fancy a bold red, a crisp white, or Ann Marie’s beloved sparkling wines (she’s the official Bubble Boss), there’s something for every palate. Hungry? Our kitchen is serving up fresh salads, craveable flatbreads, artistic cheese & charcuterie boards, desserts, and more!
